Debut album ‘Coladera’ was created with Marcos Suzano – legendary Brazilian pandeiro percussionist – in 2013. It was awarded as one of the best albums of Brazilian music of that year by the renowned Embrulhador. The album received 5 stars by the Parisian magazine Lusophonie and acclaimed by BBC6’s Gilles Peterson.
The trio toured Brazil’s main cities, and with percussionist Miroca Paris (Cape Verde) they played throughout Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany and France.
These interactions were the foundation of the second album ‘La dôtu lado’, released in March 2018, in collaboration with Angola writer José Eduardo Agualusa. It features musical encounters with Lusohpone (Portuguese speaking) artists Coladera hugely admires: Aline Frazão, Sara Tavares, Miroca Paris, Dino de Santiago, J. Veloso from Brasil and the original partner Marcos Suzano.
